Happy Father's Day

I am lucky to have a few great father's in my life. Starting with my dad, then my father-in-law, then my brother (as a dad) and last but certainly not least, Rob. Here are some pictures of Ian and Lily working on their masterpieces for their dad. Ian has really and finally embraced painting. I've been waiting patiently. Lily embraces expressing herself with anything that makes a mess.

Ian: Mom!

Me: Yea?

Ian: There's a goat!

Me: A goat? Where?

Ian: In the clouds! Oh, he's dead.

Me: ........

Ian: A dead goat.

Me: hmmmm (look at Rob)

Rob: .........(looks at me)

Our conversations these days.

Ian: Do you think Indians live in there?
Me: Where?
Ian: Those caves. (points to the trees to the side of the road)
Me: Those are trees.
Ian: Indians speak Spanish...not human
Me: You mean not English?
Ian: No, human.
Me: You speak english.
Ian: No, I'm human.
Me: Yes, but you speak english...and Indians ARE human.
Ian: No they're not.
Me: Yes they are. They were the first people to live in the United States.
Ian: No, they have red dots on their heads....I mean the girls do.
Me: .......

Go White Soxs!!!!

This month is the only month you will hear that from me or Rob. But Ian is on the White Sox tball team for the Y and we had a rough start. There were some crying on the field episodes during practice that had me stressed out, but tonights game was so much fun! We actually prayed together that he would have a patient attitude and control his emotions and that a ball would come to him. As soon as the game started that coach asked him to be in the pitcher's position, so about 6 balls came directly to him right away. Thank you, God, for our answered prayer!

I wanted to share some pictures from it. Remember that I was using a 300mm zoom...so I was quite a ways away. It makes the pictures funny too me, because Ian is looking straight at me, so happy! He was soooo proud of himself.
