I guess he won't be making the ministry video cut.
Our church was going around to all the children's classrooms and interviewing the kids about sunday school and such. Well, Rob is putting together the final video and as I was loading it on our computer, I watched Ian in it. Well...I guess we won't be including him in how awesome classes are...He's not the most focused boy on the block. The ironic thing is...he has really great teachers on Sunday and Wednesday night. I'll take all the blame. And that he was really focusing on his Thanksgiving Program. Just for the record...He does know who Adam and Eve and Noah are.

My Kids aren't the only cute kids in the World

I'm lucky, as a photographer, to be humbled and reminded every time I get behind my camera and then the computer to realize that other kids are just as sweet and adorable as mine. I think that's a unique perspective that I get to have being a extremely proud mom and photographer of children. One of my favorite things is to have these sweet babies staring back at me on my computer screen as I'm resizing them for print. I love it! I'm so blessed to be able to witness God's most beautiful creation in this way. Ian took a couple of these....I don't know if it's sad or cool that you probably won't be able to tell which are his.

I tried to nurse my son last night....
A small shadow figure woke me up at 1:30am this morning. I was half asleep so I went through my ritual of picking Lily up and putting her on my right side, pulling up my shirt to nurse her.... I don't remember the exact struggle of what happened...but I realized right after I sat "her" up, that I did not go get her from her room and Rob was fast asleep beside me. My heart started racing with thoughts and panic. How did she get there and who touched and picked up my baby girl with their hands and put her next to me. I scanned the room quickly and thought....KNEW my irrational fears that I live with daily were suddenly becoming a reality. I beat Rob on the shoulder to wake him up and said "Rob, I have Lily....I DIDN"T GO GET HER!" I glanced up at "her" and it looked like her fingers were in her mouth in her usual fashion and I reached up to take them out of her mouth and I heard Ian say "Dad?"...That woke me from my confusion immediately. Now I'm just left with the disturbing image of trying to force my big boy to nurse. I asked him about it this morning and he just said..."yeah, I remember that..." And he kind of giggled.
Poor Guy.
Poor Guy.

Thanksgiving Tradition
We have, luckily, been invited 2 years in a row to the Torode Family Thanksgiving. We have the greatest time and love spending time with our friends, Jonathon, Kristin, Eli, Miles and Ella...but also all their extended family. We are treated as family, which is very nice since we can't be with our own family. Rob plays scrabble, Ian runs wild with Eli and the big boys and I hang out with Kristin and the baby girls.

Great Pictures by Missha

We went to play at my friend, Missha's house today with her boys, Calvin and Kip. We had to leave early when Ian wouldn't stop crying for no reason. After feeling his head...it was burning up...so we went home and took the temp at 103 degrees. Poor Guy. Doesn't look too sick in the pictures though.
She also sent this get well picture that Calvin drew. :) Ian "licks" him too. (I love kindergarten spelling)

"There she is....she's the girl I love...I don't know her name but I love her."

I was very surprised by that quote along with the excitement in his voice about that little girl. Not the girl in the close ups, but the one with the tiny arrow over her head in the first picture.
Well, the pictures are awful, but it was adorable. My video camera didn't work for some reason, but Miss Wallace said she'd make a copy of it for me. He sang so loud and proud! I was very proud of him. I wrote notes on the first picture.
Not the most politically correct program "indian song"...sorry Gina, but none the less, adorable.
