Ian: Mom!

Me: Yea?

Ian: There's a goat!

Me: A goat? Where?

Ian: In the clouds! Oh, he's dead.

Me: ........

Ian: A dead goat.

Me: hmmmm (look at Rob)

Rob: .........(looks at me)

Our conversations these days.

Ian: Do you think Indians live in there?
Me: Where?
Ian: Those caves. (points to the trees to the side of the road)
Me: Those are trees.
Ian: Indians speak Spanish...not human
Me: You mean not English?
Ian: No, human.
Me: You speak english.
Ian: No, I'm human.
Me: Yes, but you speak english...and Indians ARE human.
Ian: No they're not.
Me: Yes they are. They were the first people to live in the United States.
Ian: No, they have red dots on their heads....I mean the girls do.
Me: .......

Okay, you can cut your hair now.

Ian was very excited that tomorrow we are going to get his hair cut. I told him I needed one last photo session before we went. So I'll post pictures after tomorrow of his new short doo.

Big Boy Bike!!!

We are all SUPER excited about the "big boy" bike. Ian's never been a future Xgames athlete, to my dismay, but he is finally riding a bi, rather than a tri. of course, Lily can keep up with him as she walks beside him...but we are still very very excited. I told him skate boarding is next. (Pictures in a couple months)

What is your favorite food?

"Ummm, a sandwiches."

How does mother make them?

"Her puts peanut butter on it first, then jelly on it. And then her puts it in my lunch box. And my dad does peanut butter and honey on my sandwiches ever day. And then, my dad puts it in my lunch box. And then my dad has a drink for me and puts it in my lunch box. And then, and then, after I eat my sandwich I go back home."

So, Ian is relatively inhibited. So we were pretty surprised when this came out of him. At the end you can kind of hear him blame dad for his bad guitar playing as the reason they were boo-ed from stage. Sorry the lighting is so bad. I didn't want to make a big deal of recording him or he would have stopped singing.

Real Men Love Pink

This was during a wardrobe change of shoot I did tonight.

My baby....

I want to cry when I see these....I think it's because, besides being beautiful photographs, I didn't have to deal with him during it...So he looks really sweet, charming and like he loves having his picture taken. That's quite an illusion that I photographer portrays. I've never gotten to experience it. Thank you, Betsy, They are beautiful!

These are a few of his 4 year pictures. I'm taking a few more when I can catch him while he wants something really bad and I can bribe him. By friend Betsy will be taking some also. She's done some really cool things lately and I'm anxious to see what so can do to him. I'm the "easiest to please mom" ever where pictures are concerned.

That pouty one is one of my favorites....even though I was SO SUPER MAD at him in the moment and expected him to smile sweetly. I'm getting that printed for my secret picture stash...the stash of pictures that I don't him to know how cute I think he is.

This is what happens when boys, like mine, play too rough...which is most of the time. Hopefully he'll remember this when I tell him he's playing to rough...but I doubt it.

Ian and Matthew

Matthew came over today for me to take his and Daniel's pictures. It was nice to get to hang out with our friends that we haven't seen for a while. Of course, Ian wanted in on the pictures. As I looked at them on my computer, I was sad at our boys growing up. These pictures are of them on Easter two easter's ago. They are growing so fast and look like little men now.

I guess he won't be making the ministry video cut.

Our church was going around to all the children's classrooms and interviewing the kids about sunday school and such. Well, Rob is putting together the final video and as I was loading it on our computer, I watched Ian in it. Well...I guess we won't be including him in how awesome classes are...He's not the most focused boy on the block. The ironic thing is...he has really great teachers on Sunday and Wednesday night. I'll take all the blame. And that he was really focusing on his Thanksgiving Program. Just for the record...He does know who Adam and Eve and Noah are.

"I don't want to do that again, ok mom?"

That's what Ian told me after seeing these pictures. He didn't enjoy the Uncle Thomas look.
