Me:  No...2

Seth:  I heard you say 5.

Me: what?

Seth is ALMOST FIVE...

I can not believe this kid is turning 5 on Thursday.  Mostly because I'm surprised I haven't killed him by now.  This boy has definitely been my most challenging kid.  But as soon as I think I'm going to lose it.... he smiles and flashes those brown eyes.  So he has survived 5 years....assuming Thursday gets here safely.

Seth has been spoiled, looked past, disciplined with exasperation, ignored, hugged all over, kissed, adored, yelled at, cried over, prayed over, and Most of all LOVED.  His behavior becomes more pleasant and controlled with every week.  And believe me, it's not because of the parenting.  It's because of all the people in our lives that have loved him and have graced him with much patience.  Mostly, it's from a lot of prayer.  That's a lot for 5 years, huh?  Seth is the BEST big brother that Silas could have ever asked for.  Seth has never once been jealous or angry about the attention that Si gets from strangers, from friends or from family.  I'm so proud of how he treats Si with love, respect and mostly how he treats him just like the annoying little brother that he is.  But he is also quick to defend him in ways that I didn't realize he knew.

I know the best it yet to come from this sweet boy.  God has big plans for him and I can't wait to see how He uses him.  But.... say some more prayers for him if you think about it....can't hurt. :)

I mustache you to smell my finger.
Best Buds.

Seth....

Seth: We are almost on a date... Except Si is with us.

Me: yep,  I love going on dates with you.

Seth:  yes!!! Me too!! I wish we were on a date. Si is such a whiner.

Conversation with Seth...

On most Wednesday nights, we go to the church park to eat lunch before going to church. There is never anyone there.

Running over to me....

Seth: Mom! I wish God had created lots and lots of people that loved playgrounds... So we would have someone to play with while we are here.

"I want it blue or red or purple or green. I want u to look like a motorcycle with a basket on it that has a number 40 on it so everyone will know I love my dad.... Ok mom?! I want a 40 because I love my dad."
