He is in the car opening his sandwich. 

Seth: oh mom! It's so soft! 

Me: good. Is that good?

Seth: it's so soft... Soft like a sheep. 

Me: ok

Seth:  oh it's sooo good!!!  I've never had such a yummy sandwich. 

Lily's Fundraiser.

Lily has been fundraising for Team Si for the past couple of weeks.  And I use the term loosely.  She has been making pipe cleaner/origami flower bracelets and origami ninja stars to sell to her classmates.  She is selling them for $.05 each.  The paper costs about 4x that and for the students who are not allowed to buy things at school.... well, she just gives it to them.  So... she has $.25 now.  So...if you would like to purchase a bracelet or ninja star for Team Si, let her know.  Suggested value $.05, but free to those who can't make a donation.

As I gave her and her brother $3.00 for allowance and helping me wash baseboards and kitchen cabinets this weekend... she immediately put $1 into the jar.

Me: I'm so glad you can buckle yourself! You're so big!

Seth: yep, and the name is SETH MCFARLAND!

Me: (chuckle)

Seth: what mom? He's your favorite boy!!

Conversation with Seth.

We were parked waiting for carpool to be over and Seth was trying to wave to get Ms. Ann's attention. 

Me: Seth, just yell 'hey, ms. Ann!'

Seth:  no. 

Me: why?

Seth:  I don't like it when she looks happy at me. 

Me: what? Why?

Seth:  I just don't like happiness

. 

Me:  :/

Ian, Ian, Ian....

We were all in the van.  Ian was up front with me.  Lily's brain is idle at the end of this summer and is getting mouthy and smarty pantsy with her brothers.  So...

Me: Lily!  Just close your mouth!

.....  (I hear her silently opening her mouth as wide as she can)


Ian:  Lily!  I can see your vagina!!!

Me: ?????  What!!!!!????

Ian:   No!!! I mean UVULA!!!

Me:  (after the shock.... hysterical laughter.)

We all have a good side hurting laugh all the way to pick up Seth.  (Luckily he was not there)

Seth:  mom! Who is your cutest boy?

Me:  um.... You, Ian and Si. 

Seth: that's 3 (holds 3 fingers up)

Me:  ok... Well you are all cute. 

Seth:  but who's the cutest? Just one, not 3.  Pick me or Si. 

Me:  you are my cutest.....3 year old. 

Seth:  (huge smile)  thanks mom.

Seth:  Mom, you got Si at the Baby Store.

Me: What? No!  He was in my uterus (because I've been accused of eating babies), don't you      remember?

Seth: Nope... the baby store.

Me: You mean the hospital?

Seth: yes.

Me: Where did I get you?

Seth: You got me from the Big Boy Store.
