lily: I don't know how I got 100 in math when I don't like it.

Me: well, you have to do your best on things even when you don't like it. 

Ian: I love math. 

Me: I hate math. 

lily: well, I only like math partly. ...the part without numbers. 

Me and Ian:  ..... ???

Conversation with seth.

"Mom. Mom. I guess I have 4 legs."

Seth:  Mom!  I want to be a princess for Halloween!

Me:  A Princess?

Seth: Yea.

Me:  A girl?  Or a Prince?

Seth:  Yea a girl... no wait... I mean a Cowboy!  With a gun and a rope and a horse and a gun!

Me:  Okay.

Buddy Walk 2014

It was an awesome day of friends and family.  I can't even express how blessed we feel with all the support for Team Si.  The weather was perfect.  The slide was huge.  The rock wall was tall.  The faces were painted.  It was a perfect day all around!  Most of all it was a blessing to see all the babies, kids, young adults, and adults with Down Syndrome gathered in one place to be honored.  Thank you to all who participated and for all who made the day possible.

Headbands

So Seth had to answer my questions about my card.

Several questions in...

Me: is it an animal?

Seth: yes

Me:  does it have 4 legs? 

Seth:   No.  Wait.  um.. 1,2,3,4....yes

Me:  is it a cow?

Seth: no

Me:  does it live on a farm? 

   A zoo?  A house? In the jungle?

He says no to all of the questions. 

Seth: it's a cow with a horn!!!

Seth:  Mom! Here, I think you can keep my nickel.

Me: why?

Seth:  For the Bunny Walk. 

Sweet boy redeemed himself.  A nickel to him is more valuable than a dollar bill. 

Seth, Seth, Seth...

Me: ok. I'm going to put lipstick on then we can go. 

Seth:  ok. I'll put lipstick on then let's go. 

5 minutes later....

Me: what's that?

Seth: lipstick. 

Me: we have to take that off. 

Seth: why?

Me: 3 reasons. 1. Most boys don't wear lipstick. 2. You put it on horribly. 3. That Color looks terrible on you. 

Seth: ok.
