They are too cute; love the little bare buns. As far as doing Katie's header, when I did it in Publisher I made it 9 by 4.5 inches, then converted it to JPG to post. When I posted, I clicked the box that says "shrink to fit." Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions; I love to help!
