Sandwich!!!!

I wish I could record how excited Silas gets when I ask him if he wants a sandwich!  He LOVES them so much!  It's really the only 2 syllable word he says consistently.  He says it every time I say "Want a sandwich!?"  He yells "SANWIS!!!"  Love this boy and that he can almost make his own.

 

Bedtime with Seth....

Seth is bunking with Lily because he got a little scared trick or treating... and so Silas will go to sleep in their room.

I tucked them in.

Lily:  MOM!!!!!!!

Me: Rob, go tell them to quit calling me.

Rob:  ......(goes away and comes back to sit)......

Me: What did they want?

Rob: (while watching tv)  Seth pulled his pants down and was putting his butt on her head.....

Me: ......

School with Seth....

Teacher: Seth, what is your middle name?

Seth: I don't know.... I think it's Mick.

An intellectual conversation with Seth...

I Seth: Mom.... Did you know that a vowel FOL-LOWED by a consonant gets a brev (spelling?). Look!

Me: oh! No I didn't.  I'm really proud of you learning to read!

Conversation with Lily.... overheard.

Lily was in the backseat with her friend that is a boy from Taekwondo....

Lily: yea, the boys at school are trying to pull a new boy in our class to their "dark side".

TKD Boy: you mean you don like the boys at your school?

Lily: Oh no!  I love them!  They are my best friends! But I just don't like putting erasers in my ears and stuff like that....

Conversations with Lily.... While she's asleep.

Lily: I..I... Candy. 

Me: candy? 

Lily:  mmhhh.  I'm. Afraid. 

Me: you're afraid of candy?

Lily: yea. 

Me:  ok. 

Lily.

I am now convinced that Lily sees inside people. She looks at their outside but sees their heart.  The people that most would look at and say "ugghh" or just not say anything at all... Lily will look at and turn to me and say "mom, she is so pretty or he's handsome". I love this about her.  I used to wonder what she was seeing... Now I just smile and know that God must have given her this special gift and I'm thankful.
