We were at Seth's last soccer game today.  During the devotional about being different, Lily walked from across he field to come over to her brother to put her arm around him. "What makes you different, makes you special."

Seth: Mom! Can I have an Oreo or a Popsicle?  (Waves hand in a circle in the air and whispers "magic")

 

This guy's playing Jedi mind games in me or something.

Me to a Friend:  Yea, I think I'm going to take Seth in to have his speech evaluated.

Lily: What does having your "speech evaluated" mean?

Me: Just to see if they can help Seth with his words...

Lily:  You mean help him not use inappropriate language?

Me: .....no....

Ian:  You got your hair cut...

Me: Yeah!  You like it?!

Ian: It's good..... Is that what you wanted to hear?

Me:You don't like it?

Ian: It just.... it just looks a lot like this picture.

Me: You mean the one I took to her to show her how I wanted it cut?

Ian:......

Seth: Can we go in yet?

Me: No, they aren't letting kids in yet.

Seth: Because they hate kids?

Me:.......no.

***Eastmont Baptist does not nor has ever given me the thought that they "hate" children.  But in fact love children very much***

At Taekwondo watching Ian's class...
There is one little girl.

Seth:  That girl is so pretty.

Me: She is pretty, isn't she?

Seth:  What is her name?

Me: Violet.

Seth:  Just when I see a girl that is really pretty, I just want to look at her all day long.

Me: (smile)... she was on the team that beat you at soccer the other day.

Seth: .....  I don't even like that girl. She's sooo good at soccer!...... i do like her.... but I don't want her to beat me at soccer.
